Kirameki Translations Kirameki Translations on Facebook

Welcome to Kirameki!
We're a couple, we love searching and enjoying every masterpiece gaming has to offer on every console or market it might come on. We're dreaming of a world where every great title can be enjoyed by everyone.
A far-fetched dream for sure, but at least we're working to improve the current situation, little by little. Assuming English is not a problem for most players all over the world, there is still a big problem with Japanese, very graceful and very complicated. Many wonderful games are still Japanese-only, and if the texts are important, most non-Japanese speaking players give up on trying them.
Since I am personally one of them, and since we already had some Japanese games in mind for a "real-time" translation, we thought about sharing our work publicly for everyone's sake. Seles was able to provide an awesome job with translation, both for quality and speed, and after a vocabulary/syntax/consistency editing, all of it was eventually finalized as a step by step guide. Then I created this site, with some help on the graphic side (thanks Yurai and Seles), to provide a better platform to share our work.
And this was just the beginning of everything. We've really enjoyed ourselves, both with the translation and the site creation.
In short, I really hope this will be useful to you all, and if you're willing to lend a hand or anything, please feel free to contact us anytime ^^

Note: We are now inactive. You can still contact us, though.
This website will remain as an archive of what we did in the past.
Thank you for following us all this time, we hope we've been at least a bit useful to you.

Unveiled game: Takt of Magic! Well, in italian for now.

This will be a secondary project for the italian public, and as a first slice of translation we have up to the tenth mission. If someone wants to help getting it translated in english too, he's more than welcome.

I also want to say that I'm carefully revising the content of the poll, to add more options and to check which games other groups are working on right now (and with good results). So, it will have a rich update soon. Bye!

Return of the Hero

Sorry for the wait, I have updated the page of Captain Rainbow.
The hacking is quickly advancing, and you can view an example in the video. Even if it's awesome to finally see something inside the game, the opening is the easiest part to patch. There is still a lot to do with the other sections of the game, but we're getting there step by step. We already got working patches for a few other parts, so I'll post some other images soon.

A new legend is born!

I love my stupid titles.
As you can see, I changed the legend here on the left, just to keep you informed. I needed the 'Suspended' label for the Tales of VS project, since the guy who was working mainly on it has been busy for a long time. So, if a project stays still for a long time, it'll be marked as suspended, until it comes back to life.
Hey, that's strange.. Captain Rainbow is not marked as suspended. I wonder why.

Troubles & Projects

First, the ongoing project: Captain Rainbow hasn't took a single step forward. We can't seem to find any hacker interested in the game, and it's really hard to throw away the hopes for a patch (and go on with a textual translation) after the work already done. I'll wait a little more for this decision.
In the meantime, we've worked for a really gorgeous (and semi-secret) project as collaborators, and we've taken the first steps for a lot of other things, something like 2-3 games to be translated. Kirameki never sleeps.

Since I'm sure someone is thinking "so many projects? can't they focus on a single one and complete that fast?", the answer is simple: when we work alone, we have our times and coordination, and we can focus on a single project; when we collaborate with others, we have often to wait something or someone, and everyone has his own rhythm. None of us is paid to do this the entire day, unfortunately. The rest should be simple to understand.

Bye for now, thanks for following us!

Wish granted! Hurray, Pokkle!!

The Giftpia project has been completed.
I really, really enjoyed playing it, and I hope you can now feel the same joy. It's an amazing and absolutely stylish game.
Many thanks to John N. Tieman, our english editor for this project, who helped us from beginning to end.
Have a good time with Giftpia, and don't forget to tell us your thoughts. See you soon!
